Where to Buy Spirulina tablets? Or Powder?

Where it Grows Matters
So you want to benefit from taking spirulina? So where to buy Spirulina tablets or powder? This is critical to obtaining the benefits you are seeking. The environment where spirulina is grown, is so important. That`s because as it grows, Spirulina picks up and absorbs anything in its environment. You need to ensure that the spirulina you and your family consume, is from a clean and reliable source.
Where Its Stored Matters Too
And you want to be sure it hasn`t been sitting on a hot shelf or huge warehouse, losing its efficacy. That is why we recommend buying from smaller specialist suppliers.
Chilean Spirulina
If you are based in Chile, we recommend you buy a Chilean Spirulina that is produced free of Iodine. We are in the process of setting up a Woocommerce store for this spirulina. In our opinion this is one of the best spirulina´s in the world. However, due to logistics reasons, the cost of transporting this out of Chile to e.g. Europe is high, making it more expensive than the brands below. Please e-mail us at contact@whyspirulina.com if you are interested in buying this Chilean Spirulina and we can help you with the arrangements, which we recommend should be for a minumum of 1 kilo (tablets) to make it reasonably economic.
Nutrex Hawaiian Spirulina
Our research indicates that Nutrex Hawaiian Spirulina comes from a securely sourced supply.
Nutrex Hawaiian Spirulina is produced by Cyanotech Corporation. They are regulated by the US Foods and Dietary Supplements as well as their local State Authorities. In addition, they have regular independent audits to verify their production standards. Nutrex primarily use fresh water from the Hawaii Island’s water aquifer in their growing ponds, which they recycle. Their Spirulina is cultivated in a Bio-secure Zone, certified free of pesticides, herbicides and industrial pollutants in what is described as the sunniest coast in the USA.
They utilise 5% seawater from 2000 feet below the Pacific Ocean in their production processes. The reason for this, is to add trace minerals and elements to the Spirulina.
Is there iodone in Nutrex Hawaiian Spirulina? Yes. But in very small quantities. 3 grams of spirulina provides approximately 15 mcg (micrograms) of iodine, which is 10% of the US recommended daily intake for iodine (150mcg)
Whyspirulina.com have no hesitation recommending the Nutrex Spirulina which also has non-GMO certification.
